Facilitates the meetings of the Regional Management Team. Coordinates the agenda for the RMT meetings with input from other team members. Reviews regional standing rules and job descriptions. Maintains the region's long-range plan document. Maintains the regional calendar.

Develops, coordinates, and monitors regional education programs for choruses, quartets, coaches, faculty and arrangers, in conjunction with other coordinators. In charge of Young Women in Harmony and organizes chorus visits by regional faculty.

Prepares the annual budget for the region. Manages bank accounts and investments and keeps accurate. Holds the authority to sign contracts on behalf of the region. Participates in long-range financial planning. Provides advice and training to chorus treasurers and serves as financial consultant to chapters with financial questions.

Maintains the communications links between international and the region. Oversees production and distribution of the regional newsletter and emails. Develops staff to assist in implementing responsibilities with the website and social media.

Works with membership to develop communication skills and tools that identify, establish, and maintain relationships with target public. Develops and provides marketing and public relations programs that promote chapter and regional events, and membership growth and retention. Plans and implements marketing and public relations programs to increase membership growth and retention.

Facilitates the securing of appropriate venues for all regional meetings and events, including site inspections and negotiation of contracts. Coordinates on-site arrangements for all regional meetings and events, including regional competition.

Represents the interests of chapter membership via contact with Chapter Membership Chairs and individual chorus members. Is the link to all chorus Team Leaders/Presidents. Provides tools to chapters for membership growth and retention. Guides prospective chapters through the chartering process. Maintains contact with Chapter-at-Large members to ensure their inclusion in regional events, products and programs.

Elected by the regional membership

Represents the interests of the regional directors on the RMT. Communicates with directors to assess their needs. Provides and facilitates a forum for directors at regional events. Oversees the Directors' Certification Program (DCP).

The Regional Management Team (RMT) consists of the above eight coordinators. In addition, there are supporting positions to assist the RMT and the Region. Please see the Region 5 Organizational Chart to see how each of these roles work within the Regional Management Team structure.
