Communications Roles:

  • Social Media – responsible for regular posting to the sairegion5 Facebook page. Look for opportunities to share news and posts from regional choruses. Invite members to post photos and content to the page. Monitor views, likes, follows and identify ways to increase. Consider other social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
  • Website – responsible for the updating of the website to include regional events such as music schools, competition, events, quartet and chorus photos and contact information, history, documents to be accessed by members, etc. With the help of a Website Task Force, streamline current websites into one platform.
  • Regional Communications – create regular and consistent electronic newsletters and send to regional membership using currently approved platform. Receive communications from REC and/or International and disperse to the regional membership. Ensure the use of current email list from international. (Annual Regional Report prep and submission?)
  • Event Photography – take photos during regional competition and music schools. Upload to location for use in or directly to social media and/or website.

Marketing Roles:

  • Graphic Design – create ads for Jumbotron, flyers for events, review or create promotional materials. May serve on the Website redesign team and be a back up to the website person
  • Regional event (work with music schools and competition teams) marketing and public relations including local media opportunities. Be onsite media contact. Write and distribute press releases. Work with Education Resource Staff Team members. Serve on RCSC and music school event teams.
  • Chorus Marketing - for membership growth & retention and – in conjunction with the Membership Resource Staff team, work with choruses to specifically support their marketing and public relations efforts for membership and general promotion of the chorus and chorus events. Maintain databases for local media and advertising contacts.



Regional Governance as of May 1, 2017

Region 5 is one of 12 Sweet Adeline regions participating in a pilot program for a new form of regional government called the Regional Executive Committee (REC).  The REC consists of three Executive Direcotors who were appointed by the International Board of Directors to serve during the two-year pilot program (May 1, 2017 - December 31, 2018).
